Travel memories from six continents

Six Continents Down. Antarctica Next.

Six continents down, one to go. Iโ€™m sharing the travel moments, lessons, laughs, and hot flashes that have brought me this far โ€” with Antarctica still waiting.

Travel has taken me across six continents and introduced me to unforgettable places and cultures. Iโ€™ve enjoyed amazing food, plenty of adventures, and more than a few hot flashes along the way. Every trip has given me something different โ€” beautiful scenery, funny stories, unexpected lessons, and memories I still talk about long after I get home.

Iโ€™ve wandered through temples in Japan, explored neighborhoods in South Korea, spent time with family in the Philippines, enjoyed coastal towns in Cape Cod, relaxed in Florida, and cruised to places I probably never would have reached on my own. Some trips have been carefully planned. Others turned into the best stories because nothing went quite according to plan.

What Iโ€™ve learned is that travel changes as life changes. I pay more attention now to comfort, sleep, hydration, packing smarter, and making room for slower days. I still want adventure, but I also appreciate a good hotel bed, an easy itinerary, and anything that keeps a surprise hot flash from becoming the main event.

Traveling across six continents has taught me that every place leaves something behind. Some memories come from famous landmarks, while others come from ordinary moments, local food, unexpected conversations, and the little surprises that make each trip feel personal.

Six Continents Down, Antarctica Next

There is still one continent left on my list: Antarctica. Itโ€™s cold, remote, dramatic, and completely different from anywhere else Iโ€™ve been. Naturally, that makes me want to go even more.

Antarctica feels like the perfect final piece of this journey. Itโ€™s one more big adventure and one very cold destination. Apparently, itโ€™s also perfect for someone whose body keeps supplying its own heat. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Until then, Iโ€™ll keep exploring, collecting stories, trying new food, finding places worth remembering, and enjoying the fact that there is always somewhere else to discover.
